Hyun-jin Ryu’s next start will be with a different catcher.
The Toronto Blue Jays have placed catcher 카지노 Danny Jansen on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured right middle finger ahead of their series against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
Jansen was removed from the game the previous day after being hit by a foul ball and later diagnosed with a fracture.

Toronto head coach John Schneider was coy about the expected recovery time, saying, “We’ll know more after we get a second opinion next Wednesday.” He was also coy about his chances of returning for the regular season.
Jansen was batting .228 with a .312 on-base percentage, .474 slugging percentage, 17 home runs and 53 RBIs in 86 games this season. The home runs are already a career high.
Jansen is the catcher who has played the most games with Ryu in Toronto, including every game with him this season. Now he’s out with an injury.
That leaves Toronto with only two catchers, Alejandro Kirk, another catcher, and Tyler Heine, who was called up today. Ryu’s next start will be with one of those two.
“It’s not a problem at all,” Ryu said when asked about the change in catchers three days before the game.
Heinemann has pitched in the bullpen before, but never in a regular-season game. He and Kirk worked together in a home game against the Oakland Athletics on April 16 last year, when Kirk struggled, giving up five runs on six hits and one walk with one strikeout in four innings.
“I just didn’t throw well then,” Ryu said of that game, adding that he didn’t think it was a matter of catcher chemistry.
“Kirk understands the situation,” Schneider said. He’s been hitting well lately, and we’re hoping he can keep it going. Heinemann is a catcher that all the pitchers on the team are comfortable with,” said Schneider, who hopes the duo can turn a crisis into an opportunity.
Jansen, meanwhile, emphasized that he hasn’t completely given up on the season, saying in an interview with Sportsnet earlier in the day, “Maybe I’ll be the World Series MVP.”
“He said the same thing to me,” Schneider said, “I told him, ‘You’re going to miss a good part of the season, but you’re going to be back for the great part,'” he said.
